Lääne-Viru championship in chess for students took place in Rakvere Sports Centre on 8 May. These are the results of the students of Tamsalu Gymnasiumi:

Anu-Liis Raudsepp –  2^nd place (among year 4–6 students) 2^nd place – girls absolute
Anete Riin Tell –  4^th place (among year 1–3 students

55 participants in total from 12 schools.
